About

Christoph Fasching

FX TD · Vienna, Austria

I’m an FX TD with over 15 years of experience in 3D and visual effects, spanning animation, motion graphics, realtime production and commercial work. Most recently, I spent five years as a Technical Artist and FX TD at Friendly Fire Communications.

More recently, I’ve been focusing on FX and simulation in Houdini. In 2025, I joined Double Jump Academy’s FX Masters program to deepen that focus and push my simulation skills further.

My FX portfolio covers fire, destruction, fluids, particles and full-CG shots. I enjoy building effects from the ground up, understanding what is happening under the hood, and creating setups that give me the control to shape the result rather than simply relying on presets.
